After getting promoted to division 2 for the first time, Co Veneberg managed to get a top 3 result in the first race ever in this division. His third place in the hard Ivrea - Arona race managed to get us over 1000 points for the first time in the history of our team.
Recently the team has acquired two foreigners to the team. Vardan de Vitry from Luxembourg was bought from the transfer list and will be used as a helper in flat races, although the current lack of such riders makes him captain for now. Despite his good potentials in the flat skills his overall skill appeared to be not too high. He is fully trained.
The next foreigner to be bought was the young climber Faustino Proenca from Portugal. He was transferred from a Portugese team, and is still developing his skills. The initial focus of his training will be on maxing his climbing skill. Although he will probably be more of a helper than a captain there will certainly be races where he will get the chance to lead a team.
Not only did we improve our team by getting these foreign riders, but also we have hired some additional staff, being two more doctors, two mechanics and a bus driver. After training Proenca our focus might be on further developing the staff skills, although this still has to be decided.
